Change a life. Grow as a leader. We promise it will change yours too.
Shepherd's Way mentors are not caregivers. They are roommates, teachers, coaches, and friends to the people they serve. If you are looking for a role that is deeply meaningful, practically challenging, and personally transformative, this is it.
“A servant leader sacrificially seeks the highest joy of those they serve.”
As a Shepherd's Way mentor, you will live in a four-bedroom home alongside one participant and one fellow mentor. Day to day, you will teach, encourage, and model the practical skills of independent living: budgeting, cooking, scheduling, navigating community, building relationships, and more. You will also walk alongside your participant in their personal and spiritual growth.
Shepherd's Way is just as committed to investing in you as you are to investing in your participant. We offer ongoing support, leadership development, and reasonable compensation so that financial strain is not a barrier to doing this work.

Built for the future you want.
Mentorship is not just what you give. It is what you become. Shepherd's Way mentors consistently describe this experience as one of the most formative seasons of their lives.
Leadership Development
Learn to teach, coach, advocate, and lead with patience and purpose. Skills that transfer to every career and every relationship.
Meaningful Compensation
Reasonable pay and housing are provided so you can focus on the work without financial worry.
Staff Investment in You
The Shepherd's Way team is committed to your growth, your goals, and your future beyond this role.
A Story Worth Telling
The relationships you build and the lives you help shape will stay with you for the rest of your life.
We are looking for people who lead with their heart and show up with their whole selves.
You do not need a specific degree or background. You need patience, consistency, a servant's heart, and a genuine belief that the person you live alongside deserves a full and thriving life. Shepherd's Way provides the training. You bring the commitment.
