As a Shepherd's Way mentor, you will live in a four-bedroom home alongside 2-3 others - either 2 participants and 1 other mentor, or 2-3 participants. Day to day, you will teach, encourage, and model the practical skills of independent living: budgeting, cooking, scheduling, navigating community, building relationships, and more. You will walk alongside your participant in their personal and spiritual growth. You will also have your own coach - a degreed professional who will develop an individualized plan for each participant, and coach you and the participant on how to help the participant grow according to that plan.
Shepherd's Way is just as committed to investing in you as you are to investing in your participant. We offer ongoing support, leadership development, free rent, and reasonable compensation so that financial strain is not a barrier to doing this work.
